Where Did It Go

I know a lot has been going on the last few days, but I am still surprised it's been a week since I wrote. The 4th of July weekend us unbelievable. Josef and Sarah two of my grandchildren used my car and drove me down to Sierra Vista to Chris and Amy's. Dana, Chris and Amy's daughter was getting Baptised on July 4th and most of the family were going down there. It's a 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive from Phoenix to Sierra Vista.

When we arrived and got out of the car we all went aw! The temperature was beautifully comfortable and there was a slight breaze. It was wonderful. We all hurried and changed clothes and rushed to the church for the baptism.

Dana looked so sweet and proud. Chris Baptised her and confirmed her. He look proud too. The spirit was lovely.

Then we all return to Chris and Amy's and got a bit to eat. Everyone was having such a good time. Chris kept apologizing for it being so warn, it was about 85 degrees. Up in Phoenix it was about 108. We just laughed at him.

Later we all went into town and a park where we had sort of a picnic and sat out on a large grassy area and waited for the firework show. As we visited and waited I couldn't help but notice all the large family groups like ours gathered all over the park. People were all playing with their kids with Frisbees and balls. Everyone was having a wonderful time. There was no sign anywhere of people not acting nice no troubles at all. Just happy fun. It was wonderful.

When the firework show began it was unbelievably beautiful. There is no question that it was the most beautiful one I have ever seen.

Everyone were talking about next year when we come back to see the fireworks. It was great.

After we all gathered again a the Null's for ice cream.

Dear Amy and Chris asked for us all to come even though she and Calvin were leaving early Sunday morning to fly to Mayo Clinic back east to see if they could help Calvin with his nerve and muscle problem. What a family!

Everyone was very helpful at their house and they got of very early in the morning, after being up very late the night before.

We then all went to Church and then returned to the Null's for lunch and change of cloths and visited together for a while and then we were all off to head home and 108 degrees.

It was wonderful and I shall never forget this weekend. On the way home, Sarah drove for the first part, which turned out to be a scenic route in the mountains. We were following LLoyd and Elaine's car. Sarah had never drove under those conditions before. She did really well. They both did and I am so grateful to them. And the motel room that was paid for by Amy and Chris and LLoyd and Elaine. What a Family.
Josef and I visited Paul Friday evening. Josef had not been able to get over for awhile, but to our surpise he knew it was Josef and they had a nice visit. Josef ofcourse did not of the talking but Paul responded with laughter and smiles. It was really nice to see Paul like that, enjoying others.
