Monday night was a special Family Night at Genie Kerr, a friend that lives a coupe of blocks or so away. Robert and Nancy Lee and Linda and I were there. As the opening pray was said we were thinking about those of our friends who were not with us because of family gathering and such. We Prayed to for heir enjoyment and safe return. And realized how much we miss them and appreciate them in our Family nite group.
WE have been reading in the book of Helaman and discousing the evils of the Gadianton robbers and how there are still groups of evils still fighting to day and that are using the secret combinations to robe and still and take over out country.
We are to be remined that we are to stay close to the church and the Lord and follow his teaches we will be kept safe.
It was a very lovely feeling to share and remind each other and share your testimonies to each other.
This afternoon I had a very quite visit with Paul. I don't think he had any Idea who I was. He was in a bid chair with his feet up looking half asleep watching the big screen tv. He can't really see it but he does hear it. and he seemed to be into the program an all he asked me was to please remember the stuff in the refrederater and hurry and take it home.
I'm going to try to reach his Vof H Nursy and have her give me a call tomorrow and see what she and the dotor are thinking about how he is doing.
Tomorrow I go to see the Eye Doctor again this one is a specialist. Just to double check because Christine has been diagnosed with some kind of eye deices and he wants to take further testes to be sure all is well. Dear Char is coming to get me, because I will me unable to see well enough
to drive myself home. We shall see.

Another Week
Another week has past by. It was a bet different, things there were fairly calm here at home. the News was filled with names of popular entertainers that had past away, the biggest one being Michael Jackson. He gave lots of great performer, but very sad inside. He became know as "The King of POP" people were so very sad. he had started at a very young age as the lead singer for his brothers band. He could sing and dance like no other had ever done, He used his talent and worked hard.He did go on to much more dark entretaining. His creation the Moon Walk and wore the white glittering glove on his left hand in all his performances.
Things at home stead about the same. I've been a little low in energy, but fine. A Couple of times that I went to visit with Paul I was quite sure he didn't know who I was, other than just a nice person that came to visit. It is almost impossible to carry on any communications. He is completely confused. He can't finish even a simple sentence At this point I go mostly for my comfort I feel seeing how well they are all being with him. He his always clean and neat and comfortable. And he does laugh every now and then. The shakiness seems to becoming worse. But most of all he seems to be in a happy mood. I am really grateful for that. It lit's me come home feeling better.

Nice Weekend!
Saturday was a big day. I packed up four very large bags of clothes for DI and took them to the DI Pod up in the Church Parking Lot. I baked a large lasasnga for a family whose mother is in the hospital very ill. Got to the story and picked up a large water mellow. From there I went to Char's and helped her set up for a family picnic in the park where she lives.
It was really fun. About half of the family was there. They moved the table cloth of the table that was right in all the sun, and put it in the shade under some really nice trees on the lawn. It was perfect. The weather was great and the kids were enjoying getting to swim in the pool there. Of cause the rest of us had to join them after we sat and ate great sub sandwiches that Char got. And there all sorts of things other brought. It was all good and we were having a great visit.
It is interesting, we don't keep looking "where are the little ones going?". Now most of the kids are adults now and they were all planning to go bowling together after we fined swimming and having rootbeer floats and of cause the big water mellow. Just like the days of long ago.
The family is really changing, but it's alright they all love to get together and be friends with each other. And really care about each other. what a wonderful blessing. What a wonderful day.
Today after church I went over to see Paul. I thought that with all the decorations and people talking about it, that he might know it was Father's day, but he didn't. He was just lost somewhere. He couldn't finish a single sentence. An none of what he could didn't make seance.
It is making it difficult more and more when I come trying to communicates something with him.
He was dress very nice and as always very clean. He didn't remember what he had for lunch,
I didn't stay very long. I think it was confusing him more when I would try to help with the rest of the sentence, He seemed to be comfortable. I am very grateful for that and the sweet people That work there.

"Oh What A Beautiful Day"
Today I saw a side of Paul I'm not sure I have really seen before. When I arrived to visit him they said he was down enjoying the special entertainment. I went down the hall and there he was, sitting in his wheel chair clapping his hands and singing with every one. A very talented fellow was playing a beautiful grand piano. He was playing one "oldie" after another. He was wonderful, and everyone was really enjoying it.
When I got there he wanted me to sit down and listen with him. It was really fun, and supper special watching him.
He has had different visitors each day for the past four days. I think this has pleased him too. Brother Borton was over yesterday to cute his hair and they have all been telling him how handsome he looks. So, I sure that helps also.
It is amazing to see what music can do for some one though.

A Lot To Think About
To start the week, Sunday I was asked to give a 20 min. talk in Sacrament Mtg. next Sunday. That is something I have not done for quite some time. Then right after Church I got to go practice with the Ward Choir. That is something I have missed for sometime. That part was nice.
Monday I had trouble with my asthma and the inhaler really gave me a bad time. It left me really shaky all day until evening. I couldn't even work on the computer much. It was really disappointing. I really had a lot to do and I didn't get to go to Family Night like that, the day was a mess.
Tuesday I did get to get some computer work done and visit with Paul. He was wanting to come home with me, again. But we got talking about other things that he could laugh about and he was pretty good when I left. That night as I was relaxing opening the mail I found an other Notice from ALTEC saying that the monthly payment they are going to requirer was going to be raise even more, a little over $300. more from the abt. $750. they told me on the last Notice a few weeks ago.
After no sleep, Wednesday I started calling people up at Good Shepard and ALTEC. There is no way I can make anywhere near that kind of money out of what we have. It really took all the wind out of me. I faxed back some papers to them asking for a hearing. I just have to let go I guess wait and see what they have to say.
However, this afternoon Char came over and got me and we went to the Olive Garden for a lovely dinner and then we went to see "Glenn Beck's Common Sense Production" at the AMC Theater at Arrowhead mall. It was really great. He is a little "nuts" and a very great person at the same time. He is gifted in finding ways to get people to stop and look at what is happening here to our government and the danger out Constitution is in and things to watch for and things to step up and do. He really encourages reading about our Founding Fathers and what our country was really built on. I feel he has an important part to play in helping the average citizen to raise up and help stop our current government from taking away all our freedoms and distroying our great country. Glenn Beck is a real comic and made it a great evening. The evening was a real pick up for me.
Now I have to finish my computer work and get my talk for Sunday ready. It is to be on "Worshiping the Temple". I have found some great material to pull from. I just pray the Lord will help me put it together the way He wants it. I want the members to know how much the Temple has meant to me in my life.

I Was Born To Soon
I was working on down loading a new accounting program to up-date the program I have been using to do the bookkeeping for the little company I still help. While watching the tutorials for the different parts of the program I was really set back. I couldn't help remembering the first accounting program I used when I first got started. It was before "Windows" and there was no color. There were no windows of helpful tips. There was no tutorials, only notes from another friend that was helping me get started. I had to be very careful to be sure to know how to enter each entry correctly. It had to be entered as a debit or credit (a double entry) and it had to balance. By grandchildren will remember that it did "beep" when I made a mistake. But it didn't tell me what was wrong. I had to create my own forms. There wasn't any Excel either.
Today I looked at a program in great colors with helps on everything you could dream up and many more you couldn't dream of. With very little talent you can create every form, letter, receipt, report, checks, bank statements, lists, addresses and phone numbers, etc. Many of them by just clicking a picture with my "mouse". I couldn't help but think how fun it would have been to have all that 25 years ago. I really would have enjoyed it working on all the files for my clients.
I'm afraid it's a bit much for me now and I'm glad that I only have one company left and he has only one employee and he deals with mostly just cash. I guess I was just born to early or I am growing older too fast.
My visit today with Paul was pretty good. When he realized it was me he wanted to go home and have dinner with me and wanted to know where he was going to sleep tonight. He was a little down, but I found some fun things to talk to him about and he began to laugh. He thanked me for coming and seemed a little more comfortable about being there again.

Nothing Tops Family
I thought a bunch today about Monday and Tuesday and realized how much I love my family and how much I enjoy one on one time with them. Life is so busy. I am blessed that as a family we get together really quite often and I think that is really wonderful. I wouldn't want that to stop ever. But on Monday and Tuesday I got some great time alone with Wendy and the next day Char. Just time to chat - relaxed time. It was so great. It's worth a million, ohhh, more than that. I'm going to have to try and make more attempts to get to have visits like that with all my wonderful kids, and no matter how old they get they are My Kids.
My visits with Paul are continuing to be very pleasant. He is so much more comfortable there at GS. It is so nice to see him that way.
I heard from Debby from ALTCS on Monday and I emailed her more information. I still don't know the final amount they want me to pay each month. But at least she is working on it. I hope I know before another weekend.

Another Special Week-end
I was so pleased Thursday evening I found out that Jacob was able to get another ticket so I could go to his Graduation from High School Friday evening. It started at 7:00pm which was a little late, but turn out to be the best. Two other schools had their Graduation programs there before his. His was the last, but that was really better. It was cooling down and we were really quite comfortable. Jacob was the first one to come marching in and was up on the big screen a number of time. He also sang in the choir before it began. I can't believe that Jacob has graduated, even though I was there.
Saturday we went back to Elaine and Lloyd's to celebrate the graduation because of the lateness of the night before. It was really nice too, I got to visit more with Lloyd's parents. They are really very nice people.
Early Saturday morning a sweet elderly sister from our Ward passed away. She was over at Good Shepherd also. She was one of the first Family Night group in our Ward. She was in her 90's. I was asked to help with the dinner Sunday. She had lived with her daughters family that was in our Ward. They have a very large family too. I felt very good that there was something I could do to be of help.
When I was over to see Paul I was even more surprised at the improvement in his ability to communicate. He was differently confused as to what time it was or just where he was. But he was able to finish ideas. They are taking such good care of him. I am so very happy that he is at Good Shepherd now. Hopefully I will hear from the gal at ALTEC this week and get the bill settled. That will bring a lot more comfort too.
The end of May today! That means June is tomorrow...June will be busting out all over!
